Travel Registered Nurse PACU

Overview

Registered Nurse - PACU in Bangor, Maine, United States. This travel assignment starts 09/28/2026 for 13 weeks with 40 guaranteed hours per week on days shift in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,266 to $2,443. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the RN delivers post-anesthesia care and coordinates with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure safe, efficient recovery from anesthesia.

• Monitor patients in the post-anesthesia care unit, including airway, breathing, circulation, and vital signs; respond promptly to changing clinical conditions
• Provide recovery care, pain management, wound care, and basic postoperative assessments per policy and physician orders
• Administer medications as prescribed, document interventions, and communicate patient status to the care team and family as appropriate
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and unit staff to coordinate safe transitions from PACU to the next level of care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
• Demonstrate teamwork, effective communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced perioperative environment

• Education:
  
  ASN required; BSN preferred
• Licenses:
  Current Maine RN license or compact license
• Certifications:
  
  BLS current or within 30 days of hire; ACLS current or within 90 days of hire; PALS current or within 1 year of hire
• Experience:
  
  1–3 years preferred in PACU or perioperative nursing
• Ability to work in a hospital PACU setting with strong communication skills and teamwork
