Join a collaborative surgical team and provide high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced operating room environment. This travel nursing assignment offers the opportunity to support patients through a variety of surgical procedures while working in welcoming Bangor, Maine, a scenic New England city known for its community feel and outdoor recreation.

  • Location: Bangor, ME 04401
  • Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing
  • Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
  • Start Date: October 12, 2026
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
  • Orientation: Up to 16 hours unpaid orientation
Job Requirements
  • Current Maine RN license required
  • Active BLS certification required
  • ACLS required within 30 days of hire
  • At least 1 year of Operating Room RN, perioperative nursing, or acute care nursing experience required
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a team-oriented healthcare setting
  • Must be flexible with scheduling needs
  • Compliance with applicable vaccination requirements
Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe, effective patient care in the operating room under the supervision of the unit leadership team
  • Support patients before, during, and after surgical procedures in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR team members to promote smooth workflow and quality patient care
  • Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to clinical changes throughout the perioperative process
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold a high standard of clinical practice
  • Contribute to a positive, professional surgical team environment focused on patient safety, quality, and efficiency
