Company Description

We are a small, diversified vegetable farm located on the island of Vinalhaven, Maine, in the Penobscot Bay. Access to the island is via a one-hour ferry ride from Rockland.

We operate under the name VH Veggies, and sell our produce exclusively at our storefront on Main St. Vinalhaven, which is open from Memorial Day through Thanksgiving. We also provide vegetables to local restaurants, caterers, the school lunch program, and support our local Food Pantry with donations of fresh, local vegetables. We grow on a little more than one acre of land, primarily using low‑till methods.

While we are not certified organic, we follow all organic practices.

Full‑time seasonal position, April – November.
