Job Description Summary

The Site Quality Manager is responsible for driving quality and operational excellence throughout the site and is accountable for ensuring the delivery of compliant products to customers while minimizing the cost of poor quality to the site and the business. This leader partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional leaders to establish and sustain processes that prevent defects, detect issues early, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions when issues occur.

In all matters, the Site Quality Manager acts with speed, urgency, and ownership to build and sustain a culture of zero defects and continuous improvement. This role also ensures employees are properly trained and equipped with the processes, tools, and standard work necessary for success.

In this role, you will use your experience and expertise to lead a team of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Inspection, and Process Quality Engineering professionals and focus on early identification of quality risks, implementation of defect prevention measures, and promotion of effective quality control across the site.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Champion Quality – Drive and implement effective quality culture into the organization (Zero Defect Framework)
  • Own shop operation quality metrics and drive systematic analysis & improvement actions
  • Implement effective Quality Management System
  • Maintain and roll out procedures and update them to operations
  • Implement and lead process and quality improvement projects
  • Work with engineering and operations to identify, analyze, and solve quality issues
  • Help Inspection Supervisor in leading inspection team to meet safety, quality, production, and delivery metrics
  • Develop and implement process controls for critical processes
  • Deliver operational cost, sales, and margin budget and cash metrics
  • Manage the structured OJT and skill certification scheme
  • Drive root cause analysis for internal and external quality issues
  • Lead quality risk assessment on operation processes to mitigate potential risks and identify required actions
  • Train the Quality Team and site Operations on the proper use of quality tools and practices
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality or manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in quality, manufacturing, operations, engineering, or repair services
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience interacting with customers, auditors, and/or regulatory organizations, with the ability to build credibility and trust
  • Strong knowledge of turbine, gas turbine, or rotating equipment manufacturing and quality processes
  • Proven track record of driving quality improvement in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels of the organization
  • Strong operational background with the ability to simplify complex issues and focus on critical priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and resolve issues that cross organizational boundaries
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience in manufacturing quality, production, and/or engineering roles
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, use statistical methods, and drive decisions based on facts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with quality tools and methods such as FMEA, control plans, SPC, CAPA, 8D, and Lean is preferred
Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $104,600 – $174,400. Relocation assistance:
Yes. Bonus: discretionary annual bonus.
