Quality Inspector
JDR are working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their growing quality team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous quality inspection experience who enjoys working within a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out product inspections throughout the manufacturing process, helping to ensure products meet both internal quality standards and customer expectations.
Working closely with production and operational teams, you will play an important role in identifying quality issues, maintaining inspection records, and supporting continuous improvement across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out visual inspections of products and materials throughout production
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns
- Escalate ongoing quality issues to the relevant departments
- Complete and maintain inspection paperwork and quality records
- Conduct routine patrol inspections across manufacturing areas
- Approve production start-ups in line with internal procedures
- Inspect products against established specifications and quality standards
- Carry out final inspection and release of finished goods
- Complete incoming goods inspections where required
- Support continuous improvement activities within the quality function
- Participate in daily production and quality meetings
- Accurately use internal systems and shop floor data collection tools
- Previous experience working within a Quality or Inspection role
- Experience with in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with quality management systems
- Familiarity with manufacturing inspection processes and procedures
