Team Captain Footwear

As a Team Captain - Footwear at DICK'S Sporting Goods, you lead the footwear floor to deliver an exceptional, athlete-first experience. You'll model premium service by providing expert fittings, recommending the right shoes for every sport and activity, and connecting customers to our full assortment. You support training and coaching of teammates, help drive sales goals, and ensure accurate merchandising, signage, and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations on the footwear sales floor, modeling DICK'S service standards.
• Provide expert footwear fitting, product recommendations, and solutions for athletes' needs.
• Drive sales by engaging customers, suggesting complementary products, and meeting store goals.
• Support training and coaching of teammates on service, product knowledge, and processes.
• Maintain visual merchandising, signage, and stock levels in the footwear department.
• Execute opening/closing routines, cash handling support, and adherence to store policies.
• Monitor cleanliness, safety, and loss prevention standards in the department.
• Collaborate with store leadership to communicate priorities and performance updates.
• Use POS and digital tools to complete sales, orders, and returns accurately.
• Support events, promotions, and community-focused initiatives in the store.
