Security Officer

Securitas is a global security company. As a Security Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises, patrolling locations, enforcing regulations and providing customer service to employees and customers.

No experience necessary. A background in retail, food service or hospitality is a plus. Training will be provided.

• Remember the customer is always number 1. Be familiar with the Customer Service post orders.
• Assist patients, visitors, and employees at the front door; open doors, give directions, assist patients with wheelchairs and vehicles in a positive, helpful manner.
• Escort patients to hospital departments early mornings.
• Ensure adequate supply of wheelchairs maintained at hospital main entrance and Webber main entrance for patient use.
• Provide shuttle service to all who request such service.
• Monitor the Webber parking lot bus stop for anybody waiting for a shuttle.
• Keep fire lanes clear and free of traffic and parked vehicles. Allow a patient’s family member to leave their car in the valet circle if necessary.
• Maintain traffic flow in the circle, main entrance area, providing unobstructed movement of traffic and easy access to the main entrance of the hospital.
• Answer phone located at main entrance to EMMC.
• Monitor all parking lots, identify vehicle owner; if a vehicle is in violation of parking rules, ticket it. Proper EMMC staff will direct security if the vehicle is to be towed.
• Treat all people coming through the doors as you would expect your family members to be treated.
