The pay range for this position is $30.04 per hour to $33.36 per hour.
Responsibilities- Fabrication of complex items such as entire deck sections, grating assemblies, critical foundations, etc., using fabrication sketches and drawings.
- Installing items on units or on ships including machinery components and shafting equipment, ordinance foundations, exterior fittings and railing, etc. using blueprints.
- Fabricating and installing complex assemblies such as shell plating assemblies onto mocks and ensuring completion of accurate assemblies in accordance with drawings and Accuracy Control plans.
- Ability to work independently and solve daily installation/layout challenges with minimal assistance.
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of technical or vocational training in a steel trade.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or installation of steel and outfit items.
- Must be able to read blueprints in detail.
- Must have experience working with metal, hand tools, and power tools.
- Must meet the requirements of the Ship fitter physical task analysis.
