Salary: $15.70 - $19.95/hr. (inclusive of a $0.60/hr institutional stipend)
Note:
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.
- Operate motor‑driven wheel and track mounted equipment, including but not limited to cranes, conveyors, shovels, and loaders.
- Fuel and perform routine maintenance on assigned vehicles and devices.
- Operate light and medium duty trucks to haul freight, gravel, snow, and other materials.
- Perform tasks such as plowing snow, applying oils, asphalt, and tars to roadways and parking areas.
- Operate truck‑mounted winches and cranes to load and unload material.
- Supply fuel tanks, add lubricating oils, and complete other maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good order.
- Assist mechanics in repairing assigned equipment to restore service quickly.
- Possession of knowledge and abilities related to operating and maintaining motor‑driven equipment.
- Valid Maine Class B motor vehicle operator’s license (if operating on public highways; off‑the‑road vehicles do not require a Class B license).
