Visit​/Family Support Worker – Bangor

36-hour work week across four weekdays, plus a rotating Saturday shift that concludes in the mid-afternoon.

Penquis is seeking a full-time Visit/Family Support Worker to provide supportive visitation services for families working toward reunification. This role creates a safe environment for family visits, supports parenting growth, and helps children and families build positive interactions and stability.

• Supervise visits according to court orders, DHHS requirements, private-pay agreements, or other relevant agreements.
• Provide parent education through role modeling, parenting skills, and teaching alternatives.
• Relay necessary information between parents when relevant to the child's welfare at the start and end of visits.
• Intervene when necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of the child, including ending visits when appropriate.
• Provide services in the office, community, or client homes during hours that meet client needs, including evenings and weekends.

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least 6 months of documented experience working with children and families.
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills with computer proficiency and experience.
• Reliable, insured transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of automobile insurance.
• Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions.

The starting rate for this position is $18.02-$20.73 per hour.
