DSP Wanted ! Bangor, Brewer and Old Town $22​/hr ( 30+ hours​/week

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Part Time

Compensation: $22 per hour Location: Bangor, Brewer and Old Town ME & surrounding areas

This position provides 1:1 support to clients in their homes and local community. No overnight shifts required. You’ll work with clearly defined duties, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for additional hours.

This position is 30 hours /week - Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

Family First does not offer 2nd shift or overnight shifts at this time.

• Follow individualized support plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences
• Provide domestic support: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, appointment scheduling/attendance, shopping, transportation, and housing management
• Support clients in accessing social activities and community resources
• Encourage community inclusion through events, volunteering, advocacy, and transportation
• Ensure client health and safety at all times
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care team members
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with State of Maine regulations using the Clear Care/Well Sky app
• Uphold professionalism, respect, and client-centered care

• One year of DSP experience preferred
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Able to pass criminal, drug, and background checks
• Ability to be consistent, show up on time and use clear communication
• Smartphone required for documentation
• Ability to maintain online records and communicate via email
• Valid Driver’s License, Social Security Card, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance
• Willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other required trainings
• Willing to obtain CDC-recommended immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Seasonal Influenza)
