- Follow a detailed support plan with goals specific to each client’s needs and be respectful of each client’s wishes and personal preferences.
- Domestic support skills such as: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling and attending medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and housing management.
- Working on an array of goals to support clients in accessing social activities and utilizing community resources. Community inclusion support will likely include: attending social and volunteering events with clients, encouraging client involvement in community, advocating for clients, and providing transportation
- Ensuring client’s health and safety.
- Working with others in the interest of the individuals we support.
- Proper documentation compliance in accordance with State of ME regulatory guidelines and practices using the Clear Care/Well Sky phone app.
Travel required:
Orono & Bangor
Monday: 1p-4:30pm
Tuesday: 10am-4:30pm
Wednesday: off
Thursday: 12:30pm-3:30pm
Friday: off
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on client needs. Additionally, please be advised that we do not provide overnight support for clients.
Requirements Qualifications- One year of DSP experience is required
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. as well as proof of completion.
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Pass a criminal, drug, and background check
- Three references
- Own a smartphone
- Able to keep online records and communicate via email
- Have a valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
- DSP Certificate required
- Have or be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other training as required per state of Maine or clients’ Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
- Have or be willing to obtain up-to-date, CDC-recommended immunizations for healthcare workers including: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B and Seasonal Influenza
