Job Summary
Please ensure you are registered with the Clearinghouse to be considered for employment. This role accelerates business values by delivering ice to customers in straight trucks that require a Class B CDL license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations. The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated may change depending on business needs.
Drivers are expected to physically unload, deliver, fill, and rotate ice at the customer locations. They demonstrate our “True North” attributes: voice of the customer, respect for the individual, no‑nonsense communication, utilization of facts, servant leadership and a continuous improvement mindset in every facet of leadership and daily interaction.
- Pallets delivered each day: 10
- Bags per pallet (7 lb.): 210
- Total bags of ice delivered per day (7 lb. equivalent): 2,100
- Total bags of ice delivered per 5‑day week: 10,500
- Total lbs. delivered per day: 21,000
- Total lbs. delivered per 5‑day week: 105,000
- Tons of ice delivered daily: 10.5
- Tons of ice delivered weekly: 52.5 (based on a 10‑pallet truck and a 5‑day work week)
- Minimum Class B CDL driver’s license.
- High school education or GED.
- Clean driving record.
- Three years previous route delivery driver experience preferred.
- Minimum one year experience driving a vehicle similar to the one to be assigned.
- Basic math skills and exceptional customer relations skills.
Physical Requirements
- Must drive in stressful environments.
- Must unload, load, and rotate product in merchandisers.
- Must lift 60 lbs. throughout the day.
- Must work in all weather conditions.
This position requires a minimum Class B CDL driver’s license and must drive safely and courteously at all times. It requires adherence to corporate policies and procedures and direct responsibility for property, funds, and information.
