Driver Helper

Johnson Service Group has an immediate need in Bangor, ME for a Driver Helper. This is scheduled to be a 2+ Month temporary assignment 40+ hours a week. This position requires regular lifting of 40 lbs.

• Assisting the driver in the safe, on‑time delivery and sales of ice and related products including merchandising of individual bags and full pallets.
• Applying safe work practices in all deliveries and operational practices.
• Delivering exceptional customer service to all Arctic Glacier’s customers.
• Reviewing paperwork daily for neatness and accuracy.
• Ensuring cleanliness of delivery vehicle (interior and exterior).

• High School Diploma required.
• 1 year’s experience working in a distribution environment considered an asset.
• 1 year’s experience working in a similar role considered an asset.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Adaptability to meet the needs of the business.
• Will be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the business.

• Hydraulic lift gates (if applicable).
• POS handheld units.
• Material handling equipment such as manual and electronic pallet jacks.

• Overnight travel not required.
• Intra‑ and interstate travel may be required.

• Lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Load and unload trailer.
• Push and pull using material handling equipment up to 300 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be able to safely enter/exit the cab and tail of the delivery vehicle repeatedly.
