Position TypeThis position is scheduled to support Government operations, generally Monday through Friday. Magazine, shift, and as‑needed operations outside of normal Government working hours (including holidays and base closure days) may be required to meet the mission of SWFPAC / MCSFBN.
Position DescriptionFacility Support Personnel provide facility management and support services to maintain operations of up to seventy (70) facilities and magazines operated or occupied by MCSFBN personnel. Aligned to the Material Coordinator labor category, this role assists with work order generation and tracking, facility and safety inspections, key custody, consumable management, and barracks tracking under the direction of the Facility Lead.
Essential Position Functions- Assist in coordinating, scheduling, initiating, and tracking facility trouble calls with MCSFBN, SWFPAC Facilities, and the Base Operations Services Contractor (BOSC).
- Generate, post, and track work orders with Government TA approval and update the Government‑provided Work Order Log daily.
- Conduct monthly building, safety, fire, and fire extinguisher inspections and document discrepancies.
- Assist in maintaining key custody, conducting monthly and quarterly key inventories from a designated lock box.
- Track BEQ room assignments, departures, and occupancy rates and conduct required inspections.
- Manage, inventory, and issue consumable items, and report reorder quantities prior to reaching minimum levels.
- Support preparation of facility‑related CDRL reports (A001‑A007, A027, A029).
- Current, or the ability to obtain, a Secret security clearance.
- Computer skills sufficient to perform data entry and use Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Facility Support Personnel demonstrate solid organizational and record‑keeping skills, attention to detail in inspections, and the ability to coordinate work orders and consumable management. This role requires the ability to follow established procedures and support accurate reporting.
Physical Requirements for the roleThis position involves a combination of office and light industrial/warehouse activity. The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes with mechanical assistance. Work at a computer for extended periods, including viewing monitors and using keyboards, is also required.

Travel RequirementsTravel is primarily local to facilities and spaces within the Western Puget Sound area.
CompensationCompensation is set in accordance with the applicable Service Contract Act Wage Determination (WD , Rev. 30).
