The role involves managing and optimizing our network equipment park, and is responsible for the lifecycle management of equipment (routers, switches, modules, and cards), stock monitoring, and the reliability of data in our CMDB.

The position is part of a rigorous IT asset management approach, with a focus on maintenance tracking and continuous improvement of technical data quality. Here are the main duties:

Network asset management

• Monitor the lifecycle of network equipment (routers, switches, modules, cards).
• Maintain up-to-date information in the CMDB (Net Box or equivalent).
• Ensure the consistency and quality of inventory data.
• Manage equipment movements: reception, storage, deployment, removal.

Stock management

• Monitor network hardware and spare parts stocks.
• Implement monitoring indicators and alerts for stock levels.
• Conduct regular inventories and address discrepancies.

Maintenance and lifecycle tracking

• Track end-of-life dates for manufacturer support (EOL/EOS).
• Participate in planning hardware renewal campaigns.
• Monitor OS versions of network equipment and their lifecycle.
• Produce reports on the state of the equipment park.

Hardware incident management

• Track RMA (Return Material Authorization) with manufacturers.
• Follow up on the logistics of hardware replacements.
• Maintain the history of interventions in the CMDB.

Automation and reporting

• Produce regular reports on the network equipment park.
• Exploit Net Box APIs to automate data collection and analysis.
• Develop scripts (especially in Python) to facilitate analyses and consistency checks.

The ideal candidate holds a degree from Bac+3 to Bac+5 in computer science, networks, or information systems. They have at least 5 years of experience in IT asset management, network operation, or technical inventory. Experience in an operator environment, data center, or network infrastructure is a plus. An interest in project management is also appreciated. They have a good understanding of network equipment, CMDBs or IT inventory tools, ideally Net Box, as well as the lifecycle of equipment and network operating systems.

They are proficient in basic stock management, technical logistics, Excel, and REST APIs, with a penchant for Python and automation. They demonstrate rigor, organization, reliability in data management, and good analytical, synthesis, and interpersonal skills. They are autonomous and proactive.
