About the roleLawrence Equipment is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Department Supervisor to lead our sheet metal fabrication operations. This hands‑on role oversees all aspects of sheet metal processing, including press brake and laser operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sheet metal manufacturing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality, safety, and efficiency within the department.
What you’ll do- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal fabrication personnel.
- Oversee operation of press brakes and lasers to ensure accuracy and productivity.
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC fabrication equipment as needed.
- Ensure parts meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Manage workflow to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Train and mentor team members on equipment operation, safety, and quality procedures.
- Monitor tool wear, maintenance schedules, and inventory of raw materials.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, welding, and assembly departments to ensure smooth production flow.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives in quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machine to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- 5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, including operation of press brakes and lasers.
- 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming, machine setup, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.

The pay range for this role is: 40 - 45 USD per hour (Banning Facility)
