Anesthesia Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate in this position will maintain an adequate inventory of supplies for operating rooms; clean equipment; prepare solutions and medications for anesthesia carts; assist anesthesiologists, residents, and other professional personnel in preparing patients for surgery; and to do other work as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant, pharmacy clerk or hospital supply technician. (Completion of a recognized nursing assistant training program may be substituted for 6 months of the required experience.)
• Minimum two years of experience as an anesthesia technician preferred.
• Knowledge of anesthesia technology and technician duties and scope of practice required. Knowledge of related healthcare regulations and survey process required.
• American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians Certification preferred.

Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
