Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Position Summary

ER Charge RN provides leadership, organization, and coordination/ensures nursing care for patients. It involves patient and family teaching and works cooperatively with ancillary, nursing, and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

The ER Department performs emergency medical service to individuals from all age groups as needed. Therefore, the ER Charge Nurse must be competent to provide care to patients in the following age groups: infant, toddler, school‑age, teenage, adult, senior, and geriatric. The RN must be able to assess developmental needs across the life span and adjust care accordingly to meet physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.

• Graduated from a school of nursing with an RN diploma or BSN degree.
• Possesses a current State RN license.
• Recent health‑care experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in emergency room care within the last 18 months.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS Stroke Scale certifications required upon hire.

• Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
