Reporting to the US Accounting Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting the Accounting department. The successful applicant will assist the department with a variety of tasks including fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other ad‑hoc assignments. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable Processing
- Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and invoice journals in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure purchase orders, receiving records, and invoices are matched and the input is accurate, and expense accounting is correct
- Verify that proper approvals are obtained
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date filing
- Follow up on outstanding accounts and communicate with customers regarding overdue balances
- Follow up with customers on chargebacks and investigate discrepancies to resolve
- Support preparation of Accounts Receivable reports and statements
- Perform general duties such as data entry, record keeping, document organization, and generating and sending invoices
- Currently enrolled in a college or university accounting program
- Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
- Superior organizational, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills
- Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
- Strong ability to meet deadlines consistently
- Detail‑oriented
