Position Summary

Under the direction of the foreperson, paving equipment operators will operate various road construction equipment—including asphalt paver, paver screed, steel drum roller, rubber tire roller, skid steer, shaping tractor, power broom, and plate tampers—safely and efficiently. The role is full‑time and seasonal, working May through November (weather permitting), and may require overtime and some Saturdays. Local and regional travel opportunities are available.

Operators must follow the company’s safety programs and policies to mitigate risk and improve overall productivity, keeping safety as the foremost priority.

Position Requirements

One or more years of experience operating road construction equipment, or a technical school degree in Heavy Equipment Operation.

Proficiency in asphalt paver, paver screed, and steel drum roller.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), if required.

Physical ability to work in all seasonal weather and environmental conditions in a moving highway work zone.

Good listening skills and the ability to follow direction while being a team player and helping train less experienced employees.

Availability for overtime and occasional Saturdays during the season.

Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.
