Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing – Nursing is seeking a travel nursing Credential – RN in Labor and Delivery for a 13‑week assignment in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient care during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period, and collaboration with the clinical team. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, NRP, and a minimum of one year recent Labor and Delivery experience.

- Minimum one year recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
- STABLE and ACLS Certifications (AHA / ARC)
- Other certifications and licenses applicable
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques
- Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations
- Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilization
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and other team members
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence‑based protocols
- Document patient care accurately in the medical record
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
- Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
- Collaborate with hospital policies, state laws and federal guidelines
- Perform other duties within scope
- Critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication
- English reading, writing and communication proficiency
- Follow written and verbal instructions, PC proficiency
- Physical ability to stand, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, bend
- Ability to work effectively with diverse personnel and maintain professionalism
- Fine motor control, ability to manipulate instruments
- Coping with frequent general public contact under pressure, flexible activity schedules, maintain concentration
- Visual acuity and effective communication
