Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician II

Role: Fleet Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles through preventive inspections and repairs.

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct annual and regulatory inspections on tractors, trailers, and other equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, HVAC, and hydraulic components.
• Complete work orders, document repairs, and learn company diagnostic software.
• Perform electrical repairs and welding as needed, utilizing electrical meters and tools.

• High school diploma or GED; technical training in medium/heavy-duty trucks.
• 2+ years fleet maintenance experience or equivalent education + experience.
• Valid driver’s license and certifications like ASE, Brake Inspector, and HVAC (preferred).
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, electrical testing, and repair skills.
• Ability to operate various equipment, perform physical tasks, and adhere to safety regulations.

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, stand, crawl, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Work may involve outdoor conditions, confined spaces, and exposure to noise, fumes, or extreme temperatures.
• Flexible to work evenings, nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
