Experience

Required:

Minimum 5–7 years  (University/College Legal Officer or Practising Lawyer)

Role Overview
We are looking for a bright, senior legal professional who can independently handle the University’s legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. The role demands maturity, clarity of thought, and the ability to work closely with senior management, regulatory bodies, and external counsel.

Educational Qualification
LL.M. (Mandatory)
Enrolment with State Bar Council (for practising lawyers)

Experience
5–7 years of relevant experience as:
Legal Officer / Legal Manager in a University or College  OR
Practising Advocate handling institutional, regulatory, or civil matters
Prior exposure to higher-education regulations, contracts, litigation, or compliance will be a strong advantage

Key Skills & Competencies
Strong command over  English  (drafting, interpretation, and communication)
Sound knowledge of laws related to  education, contracts, labour, regulatory compliance, and litigation management
Ability to draft and vet agreements, notices, replies, affidavits, and policy documents
Comfortable working with  computers, digital documentation, email correspondence, and legal databases
High professional integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive matters independently
