Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Scheduling and Planning:
    Develop and implement tactical scheduling plans with a focus on maximizing available labor and equipment resources to support load board execution within a 13‑week horizon.
  • Lead site demand and capacity planning for created and released production orders within SAP.
  • Capacity and Constraint Management:
    Proactively identify short‑ and long‑term manpower and work‑center constraints, providing actionable insights to mitigate risks; maintain and refine work‑center data to accurately reflect shop‑floor operations and capacity.
  • Metrics and Reporting:
    Create robust tools and dashboards to track performance, including earned hour analysis, load board targets, and program schedule goals; develop and maintain comprehensive business metrics and reporting systems to support data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Process Improvement and Tool Development:
    Champion the advancement of scheduling systems by refining current modules and supporting the implementation and testing of future scheduling tools; establish and document scheduling work instructions, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across the team.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert, influencing and guiding schedulers and cross‑functional teams to align with organizational goals; re‑direct scheduling objectives as necessary based on overall performance trends and unforeseen constraints.
Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise:
    Strong analytical and technical skills, with experience in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data manipulation and analysis; advanced proficiency with SAP‑PP/DS or similar MRP/ERP systems required; EVM experience is a plus.
  • Leadership and

    Collaboration:

    Proven ability to lead initiatives, influence cross‑functional teams, and drive results without direct managerial authority; strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Problem‑Solving and Organization:
    Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy in fast‑paced, demanding environments; excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive, self‑starting attitude.
  • Experience and Credentials:
    Bachelor’s degree in operations management, supply chain, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience; 5–7 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or a related role; APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DOE‑issued Security Clearance.
