Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc.

Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for supplier interface to assure product quality.

Responsibilities include:
  • Work with Procurement to help maintain oversight on critical suppliers.
  • Work with supplier to help identify risks and countermeaures.
  • Perform supplier visits to assure product quality as needed.
  • Work with suppliers on new programs and assure good communciation channels exist.
  • Work with suppliers on Corrective and Preventative actions.
  • Work with other departments to resolve vendor quality issues.
  • Reporting on supplier quality performance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 5-10 years' experience in similar professional environement.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical major preferred
  • Should possess solid math/statistical skills, and be knowledgeable in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and print reading.
  • Experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly preferred but not required.
  • Experience or knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, mag particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiography preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Pay: $81,000 - $123,000

The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $81,000 and $123,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
