Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer – BWX Technologies, Inc. – Barberton, OH
Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for supplier interface to assure product quality.
Responsibilities- Work with Procurement to help maintain oversight on critical suppliers.
- Work with supplier to help identify risks and countermeasures.
- Perform supplier visits to assure product quality as needed.
- Work with suppliers on new programs and assure good communication channels exist.
- Work with suppliers on Corrective and Preventative actions.
- Work with other departments to resolve vendor quality issues.
- Reporting on supplier quality performance.
- 5-10 years' experience in similar professional environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a technical major preferred.
- Solid math/statistical skills, and knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and print reading.
- Experience or knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, welding, and assembly preferred but not required.
- Experience or knowledge of inspection techniques including dimensional inspection, NDE methods such as ultrasound, magnetic particle inspection, liquid penetrant inspection and/or radiography preferred but not required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Pay: $81,000 - $123,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $81,000 and $123,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
