Position OverviewThe Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations. This role will provide critical analyses on financial performance insights to management, while also identifying areas for process improvements within payroll and financial systems.
Your Day to Day as an Accountant- Support the maintenance of financial records and ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare and review journal entries for month-end close.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Analyze capital spending reports and perform ROI calculations.
- Assist with identifying payroll process improvements.
- Prepare timely financial reports, ad-hoc analyses, and insights for management.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency through account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with SOX controls and fulfills internal/external audit requests.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements.
- Assist with quarterly forecasting.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects across multiple systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational & analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
- Ability to report to work onsite at BWXT's Barberton office location.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- 5-10 years' experience in accounting and finance.
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with multi-site accounting operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their implementation.
- Experience in SAP and One Stream.

Pay: $66,000- $101,000
