As the Capacity Supply Chain Planner, you will leverage advanced tools to project finished goods inventory levels, ensuring a balance that supports the lowest total cost of ownership for the business. You will be a critical liaison, the Planner facilitates communication and coordination among Plants, Sales, Transportation, Tollers, and Warehousing teams, identifying and addressing potential issues that could impact operations. You will be based in Barberton, OH
- Norton Plant, working a hybrid schedule and will report to the Supply Chain Manager. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.
- Lead monthly SIOP process with Teslin Commercial team, Technical, Finance, and Plant teams. Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and warehouses
- Maintain RCCP to ensure capacity is available to support demand requirements
- End-to-end management of 3rd party Tolling Operations; including order management, production planning, inventory tracking for Labels, Filtration, Membrane, and other Tolling operations
- Management and coordination of supply to ensure seamless execution on customer orders, while maintaining inventory targets
- Execute the transaction within SAP for inventory movement. Manage capacity planning and importing of feedstock materials from overseas suppliers
- Track plant/business performance KPI's to the established supply chain plan such as OTIF, Inventory Health, Freight Premium, and Aged Inventory Review
- Identify ways to improve supply planning processes for assigned areas
- Provide supply planning expertise for the commercialization of new products
- Provide options for inventory shortages through supply scenarios.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Supply Chain or in Operations/Supply Planning
- 5+ years of experience in a planning environment. Previous experience in a Supply Planning or Supply Chain Management environment is strongly desirable. APICS certification as a CPIM is beneficial. SAP experience a plus (especially IBP experience)
- Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and other desktop applications for modeling.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing dynamic environment. Ability to build strong work relationships is essential
