Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Responsible for foreman supervision duties for hourly maintenance millwrights, electronics repair technicians, and construction specialists across the facility. Includes working with union contract requirements when dealing with hourly employees.
- Provides safety leadership and support.
- Responsible for job assignments, setting priorities, setting performance expectations, identifying and addressing employee performance issues, and assuring equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and breakdowns are effectively being worked in order to maintain/improve equipment uptime.
- Responsible for approving time and attendance for maintenance employees.
- Communicates with production foreman and welding technicians on setting repair priorities.
- Provides technical expertise and guidance on equipment repairs and spare parts.
- Position is 3rd shift, with core work hours Monday‑Friday 11:00 pm – 7:30 am. Flexibility to transition between shifts and availability for scheduled overtime to address operational needs is required.
- Must be available for scheduled overtime, including some weekends.
- Mechanical and/or electronics maintenance experience and abilities required.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a union environment.
- Must possess good leadership and communication skills; able to communicate, direct, and interact with subordinates, peers, and superiors.
- Associate’s degree or other advanced education is a plus.
- Equivalent experience working with machine tools, welding equipment, and manufacturing equipment may be accepted.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Suite and SAP desired.
- All candidates must be U.S. citizens and must successfully complete a pre‑employment check and drug screening. The position may require the ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal eligibility for classified/sensitive information.
Pay: $66,000–$101,000. The base salary range for this position in Ohio at the start of employment is $66,000–$101,000 per year, though the final offer may vary based on local market and candidate factors. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits. Employment is at‑will unless located at a site subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
