Laboratory Technician – Mixing & Molding Department

Akron Rubber Development Laboratory (ARDL), an industry‑leading independent testing laboratory specializing in rubber, plastic, and latex materials, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Mixing & Molding Department.

• On‑site at 75 Robinson Ave., Barberton, OH 44203

• Full‑time

• Perform laboratory work and testing assignments under the direction of supervisory personnel
• Support lab‑scale mixing and molding operations
• Work hands‑on with polymer and rubber materials
• Collaborate closely with technicians and team members in a fast‑paced laboratory environment
• Maintain strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
• Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented workplace culture
• Safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion

• Experience with milling, curing, and processing black and colored rubber compounds
• Experience operating rheometers, viscometers, and compounding equipment
• Hands‑on experience within the rubber, polymer, or materials testing industry preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in a testing laboratory or rubber industry environment preferred
