We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to lead production operations and support our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for overseeing hourly employees across production, material handling, compounding, and maintenance functions while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Production & Team Leadership- Lead and direct hourly production employees during assigned shifts
- Schedule and allocate staffing to production lines based on workload demands and production forecasts
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
- Ensure efficient workflow and maximize productivity across all manufacturing operations
- Assist with opening and closing facility operations as needed
- Train new and existing employees on production processes, safety procedures, and company standards
- Maintain and update employee training records and training matrices
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate ongoing training initiatives
- Support hiring efforts by helping determine qualifications for new employees and assisting in recruitment activities
- Prepare and distribute all required production documentation
- Audit production paperwork to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Verify all line documentation is properly completed at the end of each shift
- Support company quality objectives and maintain compliance with quality standards
- Enforce company policies, safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and OSHA regulations
- Ensure Best Manufacturing Practices are consistently followed throughout the facility
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Support compliance with union contract requirements when applicable
- Participate in Quality Improvement Team (QIT) initiatives and improvement projects
- Collaborate with management and cross‑functional departments to improve processes, efficiency, and operational performance
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance product quality
- Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education
- Minimum of 2–3 years of manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience
- Proven experience managing employees in a manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Union manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Office required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (AX) preferred
- Strong leadership and team‑building abilities
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence
