Production Operator; Cast House

Position Summary

Prepare, assemble, and install casting materials and equipment. Operate casting lines to produce aluminum billets (ingots) and perform visual inspection of cast ingots and scrap.

• Charge furnace safely and maintain furnace level according to standard operating procedures.
• Prepare casting lines and filter boxes following standard or special operating procedures.
• Perform visual inspection of all cast ingots.
• Safely monitor and maintain cast lines according to standard operating procedures.
• Ship acceptable ingots per standard operating procedures.

• Record operating data on check sheets.
• Make process adjustments as needed.
• Operate forklift when required.

• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and understand warning labels, JSA and MSDS.
• Mobile Equipment Certified.
• Team‑oriented work style.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Foundry or casting experience.

• Lifting:
  Medium – occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; frequent lifting of 25 pounds.
• Standing:
  Constantly (greater than 80% of workday).
• Walking:
  Constantly (greater than 80% of workday).
• Bending and Twisting:
  Constantly (greater than 80% of workday).
• Temperature Extremes:
  Constantly (greater than 80% of workday).
• Noise:
  Constantly (greater than 80% of workday).
