Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical-surgical telemetry unit at the Barberton campus. This 24-bed unit provides comprehensive care for medical patients requiring telemetry monitoring. The patient population may also include progressive care level patients with cardiovascular treatment plans involving medication drips, as well as neurological patients requiring frequent NIH assessments. COVID and other isolation patients may also be cared for on this unit.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong telemetry background and be proficient in performing NIH assessments.

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Conduct frequent NIH assessments for neurological patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Float to other units as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Accredited nursing degree through the ACEN or CCNE.
• Active BLS certification.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Active NIHSS certification.
• Recent Epic experience (within the last year) documented on resume.
