We are seeking a Licensed Crane Truck Operator / Class A CDL Delivery Driver who will operate our crane truck and drive truck transporting materials and equipment to specific construction job sites. The role includes the following duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Ability to operate a crane / boom truck as needed.
- Ability to operate semi-truck with 53’ trailer / Unrestricted CDL Class
A. - Verifies and secures loads.
- Inspect trucks for defects before and after trips and submit report indicating truck conditions.
- Drives truck to assigned destination(s).
- Assist workers in unloading and loading trucks when required.
- Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, etc.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
- Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
- Fills work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
- Maintains inventory records.
- Maintains cleanliness for shop/warehouse/storage yard/parking lot/offices as needed.
- Utilizes tow behind trailer to make deliveries and pickups.
- Delivers and picks up permit applications, permits, and approved drawings.
- Ability to understand and write a lift plan for crane operation.
- Must be able to work OT and off hour shifts as required. (possible overnights on occasion)
- Crane Operator Certification (OSHA/NCCCO) for Boom Truck—Fixed Cab (BTF).
- Unrestricted CDL Class
A. - High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 2+ years driving experience is required.
- Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
- Possess or ability to obtain DOT Medical Card is required.
- Valid driver’s license with driving record that meets or exceeds Company standards found in the Fleet Policy is required.
- Must hold a current Class A CDL License.
- Previous experience operating a forklift is required.
- Able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.
- Average experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel) applications is required.
