Bring bourbon history to life through creative design. As the Graphic Designer at the Oscar Getz Museum, you’ll develop compelling visuals for marketing, exhibitions, and educational materials that captivate and inspire diverse audiences.
About the RoleThe Graphic Designer collaborates with marketing, education, and curatorial teams to create visual assets that support the museum’s brand and storytelling. This includes designing promotional materials, exhibit graphics, signage, digital content, and merchandise. The ideal candidate blends creativity with a strong understanding of branding and user experience.
ResponsibilitiesDesign print and digital marketing collateral including brochures, posters, social media graphics, and newsletters.
Develop exhibit graphics, labels, and way finding signage in collaboration with curators and exhibit designers.
Create logos, branding elements, and merchandise designs.
Manage image assets and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
Prepare files for print and production, liaising with vendors and printers.
Support website and digital content design as needed.
Stay current with design trends and technology.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
2+ years of professional graphic design experience.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong portfolio demonstrating design versatility and creativity.
Understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus SkillsMotion graphics or video editing skills.
Familiarity with bourbon or distilling culture and history.
Web design experience, especially with CMS platforms like Word Press.
Photography or illustration skills.
