Job Description
This role focuses on fabricating and assembling components for custom security solutions designed to protect ammunition and explosives for military applications. You will perform multiple welding processes on mild steel and aluminum, and use cutting equipment to produce precise parts that meet strict quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble structural and mechanical components for custom security solutions used to protect ammunition and explosives.
- Perform MIG, Stick, Flux Core, and TIG welding on mild steel and aluminum in accordance with project specifications and welding symbols.
- Interpret and read blueprints, including welding symbols, to determine dimensions, materials, and sequence of operations.
- Use plasma cutters and track torches to cut materials accurately and safely to specified measurements.
- Fit and align components prior to welding, ensuring proper tolerances and structural integrity.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble various components into explosion-proof and EMP-proof structures.
- Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently within a job shop environment.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and develop new skills on an ongoing basis.
- Proven MIG welding experience on mild steel and aluminum.
- Proficiency in TIG welding and Stick welding.
- Hands‑on fabrication experience in a job shop or similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including welding symbols.
- Experience with fitting and aligning components prior to welding.
- Skilled in the use of plasma cutters and track torches for cutting material.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools for metal fabrication and assembly.
- Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop new technical skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience assembling components for explosion‑proof and EMP‑proof structures.
- Experience working on custom or one‑off projects in a job shop environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality, precise work.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative fabrication team.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based in a job shop environment focused on custom fabrication projects. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday, with overtime opportunities available on Fridays on a rotating basis, and additional hours if desired. You will work with welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux Core), plasma cutters, track torches, and a variety of hand and power tools. The setting is hands‑on and production‑oriented, with an emphasis on safety, precision, and collaboration.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
