Summary
The Bill of Materials Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient BOM data to support production, planning, and operational performance. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure product specifications, materials, and processes are correctly captured and aligned. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve data or process discrepancies in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Maintain and manage the Bill of Materials database, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all products.
- Perform high‑volume, accurate data entry related to materials, specifications, and part numbers.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Sales, and PE Technical Services to gather and validate product specifications.
- Support production planning by maintaining engineering master data and ensuring BOM integrity.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in materials, processes, or data to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Assist with development and documentation of new processes, products, and production standards.
- Participate in cross‑functional work groups to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong computer proficiency, including experience with data entry systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain accurate data in Bill of Materials (BOM) systems or similar databases.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes; experience in packaging or environments preferred.
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time effectively across multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
- High school diploma required; 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging, data management, or similar environment preferred.
- Primarily office‑based role with standard computer use.
- Must be able to remain seated for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
