Production Operator III
The Production Operator III contributes to the assigned area of the team-oriented production process, operating automated production equipment, diagnosing machinery failures, assisting with preventative maintenance, and sanitizing all related equipment.
Responsibilities- Check and adhere to the production work schedule and reporting times.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area at all times.
- Operate facility metal detectors when trained and certified.
- Comply with work rules, safety rules, and GMPs.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, and Sarbanes‑Oxley.
- Perform other duties deemed integral to the job by management, such as fulfilling work schedules and adhering to attendance policies.
- Operate multiple types of production equipment and ensure all machinery is set up, operated, and monitored according to established standards and safety procedures.
- Set up equipment following all established procedures, specifications, and safety guidelines.
- Ensure continuous, efficient flow of materials through assigned equipment.
- Verify product quality meets required standards throughout operation.
- Adjust equipment to maintain proper performance, measurements, and production speeds.
- Remove defective product and ensure only compliant product moves forward in the process.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all sanitation requirements.
- Complete required documentation and system entries accurately and on time.
- Demonstrate competency for all on‑job activities that may affect product safety, legality, or quality.
- Act as a member of a highly functioning team.
- Master Enterprise software for data input, retrieval, reporting, and other functions as instructed.
- Routinely stoop and bend while lifting from twenty pounds to eighty pounds.
- Lift 40 pounds of wrap/packaging materials from 12 inches to 3 feet and/or from 6 feet high down to 3 feet high.
- Routinely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Climb fixed and portable ladders to heights between ten and twenty feet, often carrying up to 20 pounds of dough, then reach out two feet to drop dough into the top of a hopper.
- Climb onto and crawl under machinery, as required.
- Exert force to push or pull wheeled carts weighing 500 pounds over a distance of 300 feet.
- Move wheeled containers weighing up to 2,400 pounds over a distance of 50 feet with assistance.
- Move equipment and icing troughs a distance of 25 feet.
- Push a wheeled cart requiring 18 pounds of force to initiate and 10 pounds of force to continue in motion to the work area.
- Roll a wheeled module requiring 25 pounds of force to initiate and 8 pounds of force to continue in motion; the module must also be pushed up and down a slight incline.

Two or more years of related experience.
EssentialJob Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency and successful completion of a technical certification course (e.g., HVAC, auto maintenance/repair). 30 or more college credit hours may substitute for technical training.
- Equivalent military training or other related technical training.
- Completion of the AIB "Science of Baking" course is considered a technical certification.
$22.75 - $24.75 per hour.
