Process Technician

The Process Technician sets up and prepares injection molding machines for production runs, ensures equipment operates efficiently, and adjusts molds and machine parameters to maintain consistent product quality in a plastics manufacturing environment.

• Prepare injection molding machines for scheduled production runs according to established procedures and specifications.
• Set up and change molds on injection molding machines, including adjusting temperature and related process parameters.
• Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure efficient, stable, and safe production.
• Identify and correct issues related to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on injection molding equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on injection molding machines to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet output, quality, and safety targets.
• Document machine settings, changes, and maintenance activities to support consistent and repeatable processes.
• Follow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment while working on the production floor.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work hands-on with industrial equipment.
• Experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintenance experience with injection molding machines.
• Ability to adjust molds and process parameters such as temperature to achieve proper machine performance.
• Understanding of plastics processing or injection molding operations.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols.

• Processing and injection molding experience.
• Experience working in plastics manufacturing environments.
• Comfort working in a hot, non-climate-controlled production facility.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and safety eyewear.
• Ability to learn new processes and grow into more advanced technical responsibilities.

This role is based in a hot, non-climate-controlled injection molding and plastics manufacturing facility. Work is performed on and around industrial machinery, including injection molding equipment and related mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The position requires adherence to safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment, including steel-toe footwear, safety eyewear, and other gear as needed on the production floor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Bardstown, KY.
