Press Operator
This role operates and maintains press lines in a modern manufacturing environment. You will perform die changeovers, carry out basic mechanical repairs, and support consistent, high-quality production. The position suits someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable with machine operation, and eager to work in a hands-on setting.
Responsibilities- Operate press lines safely and efficiently to meet production goals and quality standards.
- Set up and perform complete die changeovers on press equipment according to specifications.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs and adjustments on presses to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality during operation, identifying and reporting issues promptly.
- Use hand tools and measuring devices, such as tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet required tolerances.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for machine operation and changeovers.
- Support general labor and assembly tasks related to press operations as needed.
- Collaborate with quality control personnel to address nonconformances and maintain consistent product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with routine maintenance and inspections of press equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Proven experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic mechanical tasks or repairs.
- Experience in general labor or assembly work in a production setting.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools used in mechanical or manufacturing work.
- Manufacturing experience, preferably in a fast-paced production environment.
- Automotive or plastics manufacturing experience.
- Quality control experience, including inspecting parts and following quality procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automotive or plastics production environments.
- Hands-on quality control or inspection experience in manufacturing.
- Comfort working with mechanical systems and learning new equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed to support production demands.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
