Mold Machinist

ORBIS is hiring a Mold Machinist. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and/or manual machining equipment to produce precision components that meet quality and production standards. This role supports tool shop operations by machining new components, repairing existing tooling, and ensuring equipment reliability.

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines to produce parts to print specifications
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
• Inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to tolerances and quality standards
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to programs or setups
• Perform basic programming edits (G-code) or work with CAM-generated programs
• Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Support tool repair, modification, and preventive maintenance activities
• Communicate effectively with engineering, tooling, and production teams
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience with blueprint reading
• 5+ years of experience of operation of mill and lathe
• 5+ years work experience with CNC
• Knowledge of Master Cam
