Process Technician
As a Process Technician, you prepare and set up injection molding machines for production runs, ensure they operate efficiently, and adjust molds and machine parameters to support consistent, high-quality output in a plastics manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare injection molding machines for scheduled production runs, including setup, calibration, and basic pre-run checks.
- Ensure machines are running efficiently throughout the shift by monitoring performance, identifying issues, and making necessary adjustments.
- Change and modify molds as needed, including adjusting temperature and other process parameters to meet production and quality requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on injection molding machines to support reliable operation and minimize downtime.
- Work safely with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while following all facility safety protocols.
- Collaborate with production team members to meet output, quality, and timing goals.
- Document machine settings, changes, and observations to support consistent processing and continuous improvement.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with industrial machinery.
- Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Maintenance experience with injection molding machines or similar production equipment.
- Ability to adjust machine parameters such as temperature and other process settings.
- Understanding of plastics processing or injection molding operations.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions and safety procedures.
Skills & Qualifications
- Processing experience with injection molding machines (nice to have but not required).
- Prior experience in plastics manufacturing or a similar production environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical and process issues on production equipment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-output facility.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a hot, non-climate-controlled injection molding and plastics facility. You will work around industrial machinery and production equipment, following safety requirements such as wearing steel-toe footwear, protective eyewear, and other designated personal protective equipment. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
