Job Description /Responsibilities

The Food Safety Sanitation Supervisor serves as the subject matter expert for sanitation within our manufacturing facility, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance. This role leads sanitation programs across the plant by developing procedures, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support safe, efficient operations. What

You'll Do
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation procedures for plant housekeeping, equipment, and parts cleaning while ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead sanitation scheduling, audits, employee training, and contractor coordination to maintain a clean, safe, and audit‑ready manufacturing environment.
  • Partner with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams to integrate sanitation into the facility's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, including HACCP initiatives.
  • Manage sanitation supply inventories, monitor GMP compliance, and drive corrective actions to improve sanitation performance and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the facility liaison during third‑party audits, providing documentation and ensuring compliance with applicable food safety standards.
Qualifications/Requirements Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience leading sanitation, food safety, quality, or manufacturing operations in a production environment.
  • Strong communication, planning, organizational, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and proficiency with manufacturing systems and technology.
Preferred
  • Food Safety Certification and experience with Global Food Safety standards.
  • Experience with ISO and HACCP implementation or management.
  • Experience in the Alcohol Beverage, Food Manufacturing, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
