R.J. Corman’s My Old Kentucky Dinner Train in Bardstown is seeking a friendly, motivated Gift Shop Associate to provide exceptional customer service to guests while supporting daily retail and depot operations. This role combines retail sales, guest interaction, and operational support in a unique and historic setting, and can be structured as either a part‑time or full‑time position.

Key Responsibilities

Perform clerk duties, including checking guests in and assisting with boarding
Process sales transactions (cash and credit), assist customers with product selection, bagging, wrapping, and payments
Maintain gift shop cleanliness and ensure merchandise is properly stocked
Monitor, record, and report gift shop inventory
Create visually appealing merchandise displays to enhance the customer experience
Assist reservation staff with duties as needed

Qualifications & Requirements

Specialized Knowledge / Skills

Prior cash handling and customer service experience preferred
Strong communication skills with an enthusiasm for sales and guest interaction
Self‑motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and strong work ethic
Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
