THE OPPORTUNITYThe Director of Business Development will lead the day-to-day work of the Business Development team and build a disciplined, proactive, and strategically aligned growth organization. This leader will strengthen pipeline development, improve opportunity execution, increase win rates, and personally guide key customer pursuits.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD- Coach, mentor, and develop business development professionals.
- Direct customer engagement, opportunity development, capture planning, and pipeline management.
- Create a consistent operating rhythm through opportunity reviews and clear accountability.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Operations, and Marketing.
- Advance key opportunities while sharing market intelligence across the organization
- DoD, Intelligence Community, federal agency, prime contractor, or related commercial markets.
- Selling complex engineered solutions for federal or defense requirements.
- SCIFs, data centers, modular infrastructure, secure facilities, or mission-critical environments.
- Federal procurement and funding cycles, including access to military installations.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, capture management, or a related customer-facing leadership role.
- 5+ years leading, coaching, or mentoring business development or sales professionals.
- Demonstrated success building qualified pipeline and improving win rates.
- Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense acquisition and government procurement methods.
- Experience with pipeline management, forecasting, CRM practices, capture strategy, and competitive positioning.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a background check.
