Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience in athletics programming or youth development
Knowledge of youth sport best practices
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
POSITION SUMMARY
The Youth Athletics Coordinator leads the planning and coordination of K-5 athletic programs across the district. This role works closely with school staff, volunteer coaches, and families to ensure consistent experiences, safe environments, and expanded opportunities for all students to participate in youth sports.

Align actions with district and school values and core priorities.
Evaluated based on the efficacy of aligned actions.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates high levels of professional leadership and integrity.
Adhere to proper Professional Code of Ethics.
Consistent and effective implementation of district policy and procedures.
Leads school specific athletic participation coordinators in collaboration with district-wide effort for increased participation.
Demonstrate leadership in cross-campus collaboration meetings to align programming, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure increased access and opportunity for all students.
Ensure sport advisory groups are developed and effective.
Coordinate district-wide K-5 athletic programming, including scheduling, league rules, and communication
Support volunteer coaches, ensuring alignment with district philosophy and safety standards
Promote equity and opportunity in participation across all schools
Collaborate with sport and school specific coaches and coordinators
Serve as liaison between schools, families, and community partners
Monitor participation data and program impact
Ensure alignment with district facility use policies and safety guidelines
Organize advisory group meetings with parents and coaches for program input
Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.
Maintain appropriate professional appearance.
Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the Principal or Chief Operating Officer.

Knowledge of athletic management.
Knowledge of policies and regulations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
