The Opportunity
Our client, a leading provider of facilities management services, is seeking an experienced AC Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled AC Engineer to work within a commercial environment, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a commercial setting
* Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal system performance
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment
* Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety standards and industry regulations
* Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions
* Support and mentor junior team members where required
* Maintain accurate records of work completed using CAFM systems
* Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
* Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding technical issues
* Operate as a proactive AC Engineer, ensuring minimal downtime across all systems
Requirements
* F-Gas Certification (Category 1 preferred)
* Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar HVAC or AC Engineer role
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Experience working within commercial building environments
* Familiarity with CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo or similar)
* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
* Good communication and organisational skills
Additional Information
* Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 20kg+)
* Comfortable working at height and using ladders where required
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
* A motivated and reliable AC Engineer with a strong work ethic
