Job SummaryThe Student Engagement Coordinator is responsible for leading the development, support, and oversight of student organizations and leadership initiatives. This position serves as a primary resource for student leaders, supports the growth and sustainability of registered student organizations, and enhances the overall student experience through co-curricular engagement and leadership development opportunities.
Responsibilities Student Organizations & Leadership Support (50%)- Serve as the primary point of contact for all registered student organizations (RSOs).
- Oversee the student organization registration, renewal, and compliance processes.
- Provide guidance to student leaders on event planning, risk management, policies, and procedures.
- Support and co-advise the Student Government Association (SGA) in collaboration with the Dean of Students or designee.
- Develop and implement leadership development programs, workshops, and trainings for student leaders.
- Monitor student organization activity and engagement to ensure alignment with institutional policies.
- Assist with conflict resolution and organizational accountability processes.
- Promote student involvement opportunities and leadership pathways.
- Co-lead in planning and implementing campus-wide programs such as Week of Welcome (GO Week), Spring Fling, Homecoming, and Fall Festival.
- Support New Student Orientation and other institutional events (e.g., Graduation, Student Leadership Academy).
- Collaborate with campus partners to develop programs that foster student engagement and belonging.
- Assist with marketing and outreach efforts to increase participation.
- Maintain accurate records related to student organizations, events, and participation.
- Manage communication platforms including department websites and social media.
- Assist with event logistics such as reservations, contracts, and vendor coordination.
- Provide general administrative support for the Office of Student Life and Recreation.
- Oversee the reservation process and invoicing for the student shuttle.
- Collect and track data related to student organization engagement and program participation.
- Assist in assessing the effectiveness of student leadership initiatives and programs.
- Utilize engagement platforms (e.g., Presence, Campus Labs) to monitor involvement and outcomes.
- Provide reports to support continuous improvement and decision-making.
Bachelor
¿ s degree from an accredited institution.

¿ 3 years of experience in student life, student organizations, or leadership development.
Experience advising student organizations or student government.
Familiarity with student engagement platforms (e.g., Presence, Campus Labs).
Experience developing leadership programs or trainings.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of student organization management and leadership development practices.
Understanding of student life programming and event planning.
Ability to interpret and apply institutional policies and procedures.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with engagement tools (e.g., Canva, Presence, Campus Labs) preferred.
