Welder

My client in the S65 area are looking for a skilled Welders.

The successful candidate will perform welding on materials including nickel base and exotic alloys in addition to carbon, stainless, duplex and super-austenitic materials according to customer requirements.

Duties of the Role

Proven and demonstrable welding experience in both Mild Steel and Stainless Steel (candidates will undertake a weld test).
Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
MMA (stick) welding to a high standard
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (HF grinders, squares, callipers etc.)
A hands-on and practical attitude
Excellent attention to detail – must be able to work carefully and accurately
Ability to work well as part of a team and good communication skills
Hard working, enthusiastic with good timekeeping
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use PPE (face-shield, gloves etc.)

Experience

Required:

Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Qualifications/Licence/Certification

Professional Welding Certification (e.g. ASME IX)
FLT Licence (preferred but not essential)
